Client:

BreakBeatCode teaches future leaders to code, collaborate and create, opening up a world of possibilities as artist engineers.

With BreakBeatCode, we bring together professionals in music and tech, including singers, rappers, producers, entrepreneurs and tech coaches, to inspire and teach students the skills, habits and mindset they will need to pursue their dreams while creating opportunities to build their social capital.

Challenge:

With BreakBeatCode hosting a Hip-Hop Hackathon for Philly Tech Week, they needed to build awareness to get students and general admission attendees to register. Our task was to create social media graphics and manage the Eventbrite page for the event.

Approach:

To stay in compliance with the already existing Philly Tech Week branding, we worked with their team to promote the event on social media. We also created a series of social media graphics and captured content on the event day. Finally, we completed this project by developing a recap video for people involved to share with their networks.

Our Process

Social Media Promotion

BreakBeatCode came to us to help with one of the biggest events in the city (Philly Tech Week). We knew that we’d have to spread the word through larger outlets than our social media pages. We submitted these two graphics to be posted on the official Philly Tech Week social media accounts.

Eventbrite Page

We built an Eventbrite landing page and banner to track registrations and sign-ups. Through Eventbrite, we could also send marketing emails to guarantee higher attendance. These emails were sent out in a series from the day of registration to the day of the event.

Event Content Capture

On the day of the event, our media team was on-site to capture content live during each session. This content was used to further promote BreakBeatCode’s future events via social media and email marketing.
